We are an exclusive Private Home Care Agency based in beautiful Mangawhai. The Care Agency's Personal Care Assistants (PCA) can move into your private residence with you, supporting you to remain independent in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by your family, friends and treasured possessions.

Our bespoke service offers you a high level of Private Home Care that is flexible, from simple things such as choosing your meals and watching your favourite programmes on television, through to having the freedom to be active each day knowing there is someone to support your care requirements. These may seem simple requests but such things can have a profound effect on one's well-being.

Live-In Care

Our live-in service is built around your individual requirements. This could include help with your morning and evening routines, bathing, dressing, continence care, medication prompts, basic housework connected with the duties needed for you as the client, and meal preparation. Maintaining your dignity is of paramount importance to us, which is why our PCA ensures you always feel comfortable and supports you with your wishes. We understand that every one of our clients are unique and each has different preferences regarding the level of support that they like. Our PCA's encourage you to make your own choices about your daily needs.

Overnight Care

Overnight care involves your PCA staying in your home at night to support with health and care needs. Night-time PCAs support you with your established bedtime and morning routine, ensuring that you are safe and comfortable in bed. They also assist with personal care, medication, and clinical tasks.

For some clients with conditions such as dementia or pain overnight, we offer a waking night care service where the carer stays awake during the night.

Vacation / Holiday Care

Having a vacation with all the members or generations under one roof should happen more often but sometimes it is just too difficult. The Care Agency would like to help you to create memories together. This is where a family member with compromised health may still like to join in on the family holiday. We are offering help for those members of the family that may need it. Whether that is for an older person or someone with disabilities, we would like to help you make that vacation happen.

Respite Care

Respite care allows people to return to their own home following a hospital stay, rather than having to enter a care home or other rehabilitation facility. For many, returning home following a stay in hospital is all they want to do. Due to strain on the healthcare system – especially following the pandemic – some people may get discharged from hospital early and without the appropriate arrangements for their recovery. This is where The Care Agency can step in and support you.

Being a full-time carer of a loved one is often a rewarding yet challenging experience. Respite care support allows you to take short breaks so that you can relax and recharge your batteries.

End of Life Care (Palliative)

End of Life Care provides the support that is needed towards the end of someone’s life, allowing them to pass in the most peaceful and comfortable way. While some people spend their final days in a hospital, hospice or nursing home, End of Life Care at home has become a preferred option for those who wish to spend their last moments in their own home, surrounded by their loved ones. Fully-managed end of life care means we are here to focus on what is important to you at this time. We promote and provide skills and compassionate palliative care of the highest quality. All the necessary care, medication and support with clinical tasks can be provided by our PCA or qualified nurse who will liaise discreetly with other professionals involved with the Care Plan (such as hospice, consultants or GPs). We can arrange palliative care swiftly and sensitively and assist with the transition of the client from hospital to home.

Bespoke packages available

We offer a Live-in Care service from 7am – 9pm at an hourly rate.

A 'sleeper rate' from 9pm – 7am includes getting up twice during the night briefly.
